Our Wedding

How we met…We met in 2019, as students of Western Washington University, inspired by each other’s willingness and commitment to serve our respective communities. We would cross paths in our final year of school which began the start of a beautiful friendship.We kept in touch with each other after graduating, while motivating one another as new young professionals. At the time Angelica moved and worked in Seattle, while Ikenna worked in Bellingham.We believe fate brought us even closer, as Ikenna received a promotion that required him to move to Seattle, to a location that happened to be 10 minutes away from Angelica’s apartment. Our friendship and love grew, and we have experienced multiple adventures together and endured some difficult life challenges. Through it all, we have leaned on each other to push us through the hard times and lift each other up when it matters most. Our love for our families, communities and partnership is a priority and is something we admire about one another. While this is the start of a new step in our relationship, we hope to continue being each other’s peace and protect one another’s dreams while bringing out the best in one another.

Our Story

Engagement photos taken at locations that hold memories from our first years together:Sea-Tac Botanical Gardens, where we strolled, laughed, made memories and spent time exploring the city; and the Seattle Community Garden rooftop during the COVID days, when businesses were closed but our love for the city—and for each other—kept our dates alive. We could turn anything into a date: good takeout, good music, and simply being together. Our wedding is Formal — with a Terracotta palette accented by neutrals, sage and brown, we encourage warm, rich tones that complement the season and setting in Arlington, WA on September 5, 2026.For guests:Floor-length dresses are encouraged; consider terracotta, rust, warm neutrals, deep browns, or muted metallics. Simple, classic silhouettes and refined accessories fit the vibe. Formal Traditional Nigerian attire.Suit and tie preferred or a dress shirt, dress pants/slacks and dress shoes complete the look. Darker suits (navy, charcoal, deep brown) or warm-toned accents will coordinate nicely. Guaveras are also okay with dress pants.
